Sharing and workspaces
The three ways somebody reaches a project, and what each role may do.
A project is reached in one of three ways, resolved in this order: you own it, it is shared with you directly, or you are a member of its workspace. The highest role any of those grants wins.
Roles
- Owner
- Everything, including deleting the project and managing who has access
- Editor
- Every change to every slide
- Viewer
- Open, read and export. No writes, and no uploads
Ownership is not a role that can be granted or revoked. It is the one relationship nobody else can take away, including a workspace owner.
No real-time editing
Framulus does not do live multiplayer editing, and does not pretend to. A save replaces the project's slides wholesale, so two people editing the same project at the same time means the second save wins. Share a project for review and handover rather than for simultaneous work.
