Troubleshooting

The failures that actually happen, and what each one means.

An image will not upload

Upload is not configured
This deployment has no object storage. External https images and the SVG import still work.
Preparing failed
Usually the storage quota, or view-only access to the project.
Uploading failed
The message names the step. A failure the browser cannot explain is checked again from the server.
Processing failed
The file is not what its name said, is empty, or is larger in pixels than Framulus will draw.

An export comes out wrong

  • A blank or failed render at a high scale is the pixel ceiling. The refusal names the largest scale this slide can use.
  • A soft photograph is the photograph. A scale never invents pixels, and the Inspector marks an image with fewer pixels than the export will use.
  • An external image from a host that sends no CORS header cannot be drawn into the export. Upload it instead, or import it from its URL.

An agent cannot reach the document

  • Nothing open: a grant is for your account, and a call needs an editor session to land in. Open the project.
  • Two editors open: refused on purpose. Close one.
  • A hosted client against localhost: ChatGPT and the Claude connector reach Framulus from their own servers. Use Claude Code or Codex CLI locally, or deploy.
  • Revoked or expired: reconnect from the Agent panel.

Motion does not play

Motion plays on the canvas only, on a selected element, through Play motion in the Inspector. Thumbnails, the preview, the print view and every export use the poster image by design.
