Slides and formats
Slide sizes, why the format is the first decision, and how resizing works.
A slide is a finite artboard with an exact output size, and that size is the coordinate system every number in the document is expressed in. The format menu offers the platform's own delivery sizes rather than simplified ratios.
The formats

Resizing
The format menu resizes the whole deck and rescales its content. The slide Inspector resizes one slide. Both are deliberate acts with their own undo entry, and neither happens as a side effect of choosing an export destination.
